Awana Clubs
Elk River Baptist Church's AWANA Club program is in operation most Wednesdays at 7 p.m. for children Kindergarten thru 6th Grade September through April.
Club members and other participants are not required to be members of Elk River Baptist Church. If your church does not have the Awana program and you would like your children to participate here, they are welcome. What is AWANA?
Awana is a unique, Bible-based, Christ centered weekly club program. The very heart of Awana is the Word of God. Awana teaches kids that God is real, that He loves them and that He has expressed that love through Jesus Christ. Kids also learn how God can help them in their daily lives. Lessons from the Bible teach them how to honor God in a sinful world.
The goal of Awana is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. This is the end result, but the method is FUN! Since 1950, churches have used Awana to reach youth. Today, over 10,000 churches worldwide use the Awana Clubs ministry and it reaches into nearly 100 countries.
Awana offers a unique combination of fun and games plus Bible-based learning. Boys and girls look forward to their weekly club meetings because Awana is fun. Children hear a clear presentation of the gospel and memorize Scripture according to a systematic plan for learning key Bible doctrines.
We offer the Sparks Program for K, 1st and 2nd grades and the Truth and Training Program for 3rd - 6th grade. Both have a variety of activities from a spirited game time, to work in their handbooks as well as a time of singing, Bible stories and fun!
